There are so many names of openings and opening variations that it's hard to count!
But...
Why not name endgames?
Over a few games, one might notice reoccuring endgames that appear often enough to deserve a name. The endgame might have certain characteristics and a set of moves to win/draw that endgame. Positions do not have to be perfectly identical, but same enough that the same winning strategy applies.
