EQ vs IQ : More reasons to ban chess

EQ is mostly a sham, in case you didn't know. 

Nature isn't fair: some are born with higher mental abilities and develop those into higher intelligence than others. It doesn't make them better or more worth as human beings, but it sure helps them succeed in a society where intelligence is needed for most of the high paying jobs.

But what do we tell those unfortunate enough to not be part of that group ?

We present a sham so they can feel better about it: intelligence isn't all it's cracked up to be, it says nothing about social skills, emotional and social skills are much more valuable, let's forget about the almost meaningless IQ and talk about that mysteriously vague EQ instead.

And while we present that sham, the less intelligent labor with 2 or 3 jobs just to make ends meet, while the truly smart enjoy a high paying job.

But God forbid we let them know that, no let's pat them on the head instead and tell them how well they're doing EQ wise.

I see a lot of romance between mallards in my back yard. Squirrels feature though, and are very assertive. Bluejays complain, sparrows swoop, and chipmunks make me question where their mouth stops and their belly begins. It's quite a community:)

Probably. My spiritual brain decided to stop going to the gym and start eating more Ring Dings. Which is why it now has a BMI of 32.3 and is hence, now clinically obese, and hence, out of shape and hence, not fit enough to win any fights other than certain eating contests.

chess isn't just some game where you stare at a bunch of wooden pieces (not that any of you said that), but actually a way to practice someone for real life. In chess, you have to control and manage your time. Sounds familiar? IN REAL LIFE, you absolutely must learn to manage your time wisely. Chess shouldn't be banned at all.

EQ is totally not a sham. A sham is the idea that you have to be a brainiac to have a good job. People with high EQ tend to work harder ,are team players and communicate better which is why the world is not run by chess players. Chess players are far more likely to work at Wallmart to keep their addiction going than have a good job.

Even if a newspaper was to print an article tomorrow with my face printed as an example of a terrbly low EQ, my life wouldn't change one bit.

Although it would probably provide both me and my friends with a lot of entertainment
