Q.E.D.
Euwe was better than Fischer

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NVW3-5V9SQ Derek is a better piano player than you, so he must be a better chess player than you. This is an inconsistent comparison.

Taimanov was a concert pianist, so obviously he was a better chess player than Carlsen.
Smyslov was an opera singer (and a pretty darn good one) so he also must have been better than Carlsen.
Efim Bogolubov could drink vast quantities of beer, so he also was one of the true chess greats.

The fanboys are raging. Truth hurts.
Where are the fanboys raging? Empty echoes inside your mind? Everyone posting into the thread has supported your line of argument.
Fail-troll has failed.

I detect irony in your previous posts...

Euwe must have been a strong player because I have never known how to say his name - to contain unprouncabiliity into such a few syllables is the mark of genius . His book "Judgement And Planning In Chess" is an underrated classic. Fischer was a biter but Euwe was an arbiter.

Vishy thinks Fischer is the greatest. He's more qualified to make that assessment than all of us put together. (Personally I think Kasparov was the GOAT, but I'm a noob.)

Update: sounds like "uh-vuh" I believe, based on my understanding of Wiki's article on the IPA for Dutch.
Oh no, not another Fischer thread for the Fischer idolaters to come crashing into.

Eh-wuh. (or Eh-vuh).
That's a Fonz-like Eh.
"Vishy thinks Fischer is the greatest"
He has also said that Kasparov is the greatest. Until Kasparov was very critical of Anand vs Gelfand.
I have been a chess.com member for more than 9 months and I have got used to watching how the same threads pop up once and again. I usually ignore them, in order to avoid getting into an endless discussion with the OP about why he should have searched before creating the thread.
However, I am just fed up of one particular topic. As you may have imagined, I am talking about Bobby Fischer. Millions of threads asking whether he is better than Magnus Carlsen or not. Thousands saying he was the best ever. Hundreds asking why he did not play Karpov. And the list could go on...
This obsession with Bobby Fischer is the symptom of a disturbed mind. I am going to say it now in this thread, and I will not repeat it again. So pay attention. Fischer wasn't. There were many better than him. But, to anger Fischer's fanboys, I am going to compare him to Max Euwe, who nobody considers as the best. I will prove Euwe was better than Fischer, thus demonstrating Fischer wasn't by far the best ever. Nobody will ever dare to say that, unless he wants to be mocked during all his life. The fact that Euwe was better at math than Fischer is so blatantly obvious that it is ridiculous to discuss it, yet I am forced by the circumstances to do it, in order to destroy the Fischer hype once and for all. A thread like this would be a waste of server disk space in any other website, but not here. Fischer fanboys, you have already read it. You cannot deny it. Fischer was worse than Euwe. If you refuse to admit it, well, the Earth is flat.
