My personal favorite opening would either be the Indian Game or Traxler. Indian Game is easy to win with for me because people I go against struggle to get a winning position when I play it. The Traxler isn't an opening, but a variation of the Fried Liver attack. I love to punish people with it and its gotten me a lot of wins. You should learn it if you haven't yet, and GothamChess has a course in it (Gambits for Black).

The London is a opening that might work at your level but not others. Not implying that you are suggesting that opening, but soon it wont be your favorite, as you will realize the many flaws of the opening. It isnt a horrible opening, but it is extremely hard and complicated to learn and if your opponent plays top engine moves later on your done for. Too many lines to study, but there is nothing wrong with liking the London at the time being.

What if a 1700 tells you to stop giving advice because you’re 1000? Please welcome new players to our community

If a 1700 told me to stop giving advice, I would listen because I respect those who have good experience and know what they are talking about
