I have the file on Notepad but I'm not finding "Insert chess game or diagram" anywhere.
While you guys squabble about each other's personal thread advertisements, let me take this opportunity to advertise a neutral thread: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/game-showcase/the-best-chess-games-of-all-time
My game between John Colborne and Joseph Blackburne is not on your list. INVALIDATED! Side note, that game was played in the late 1800's and Blackburne was known as .... "The Black Death".
Ask and thy shall receive
What's your all-time favorite famous game? I've seen so many great ones that it's difficult to narrow it down to one or even a dozen But I'll go with Alekhine's brilliant Dutch against Bogoljubov in 1922.
Oh that's clever. Advertising your thread on mine. Maybe I should plug mine on yours.
I wasn't plugging my thread, I was just trying to list my favorite games without posting them again. Since you assume the worst, you can work it, mate. I'm gone. Delete your response (i.e. post #19) and there will be no trace of a link to my thread.
Ha! No wonder fightingbob plugged his thread here. Yeah, it began on 1/12/16 and the last post was on 6/17/16. Stick a fork in it, bob. But you're welcome to stay here. Just nominate your favorite famous game.
As I said, work it mate.
I thought 'mate' is used by Autralians the most(apart from chess players off-course). Maybe fightingbob is actually Australian Bob(AB)?
@fightingbob Don't take @FBloggs comments too seriously. I am 99.314159% sure that he was just jesting and welcomes your presence in this thread

Follow these steps...
1. First check that your computer is plugged in.
2. Look for the chess board diagram in grey in the posting part of this thread.
3. Paste that PGN Notepad stuff into the Load PGN part.
4. Double check that your computer is still plugged in.
Snook, if I didn't know you better, I might think you're patronizing me.
Well, many other things apart from 'mate' aren't tolerated in America in recent times but thats off topic.
I am curious though, what do American chess players say to opponents when they mate them? "Final check pardner! Now move along or I'll unleash a nuclear bomb on you."

Well, that's a relief. I was worried you might think I was joking or something.

Don't be like that, bob! I need customers, man! And besides, I could use your advice (you know, about what not to do). I want to learn from your mistakes so I don't repeat them. I don't want my favorite famous game thread to suffer the same fate yours did.

No, don't delete English Bob! At least, I think he's English since he called him "mate." Otherwise, he's just a weird American. In which case... delete him.
Oh yeah, English Bob from my all-time favorite western, Unforgiven. Hey, wait. I'm still mad at you.
That Bogoljubow Alekhine game was nuts!
Yeah, great game. I'm going to post it as soon as my technical advisers teach me how the hell to do it.

You're right about that. Come on back, bob. You'll get used to my style of humor (you know, the kind that ain't funny) sooner or later. Hey, pi again!

Well, thanks to the 2nd Amendment, we're well armed - but we're still not allowed to have personal nukes. And let's not talk about politics. That would really piss bob off.
Post your damn game! And it better be one hell of a game after all this.
Where is "Insert chess game or diagram"? Work with me, mate! And yes, it is one hell of a game.
Yes, that was a hint. Feel free to tell me how.
Download PGN file from whatever site.
Open file with "Notepad"
Copy contents into thread using "Insert chess game or diagram" and then "Load PGN".
That is all.
Thanks, Snook. I found a game I want to post but I didn't see a way to download the PGN.
Maybe try to google? "PGN game <insert game details here>". That usually works. Alternately if you tell us the game you're seeking, maybe we can find the PGN file for you.
