philippethermes -Désolé d'avoir dupliqué votre liste et je me rends compte que le septième sceau n'est pas vraiment un film d'échecs, les échecs sont juste utilisés comme métaphore.

Damonevic-Smithlov - The scene shown is where Death selects a concealed pawn to determine which color he shall have, I guess that is why the board is turned sideways.

When was the last time you saw that garbage movie?  It's been 20 years for me, but I remember the final move.... promotes to a queen - creating check on the long diagonal.  2200+ level chess?   Perhaps for Australians.

I don't know whether to find your ignorance sad or amusing. I present to you all what this man has labelled "the most obvious tactic in the world". It is a very bad idea to start making ridiculous claims about a movie that you haven't watched in 20 years.

It's not a film, but it deserves a mention: there is an episode of House where Doctor House plays a game vs a patient. House moved 1.f4 and the patient said «Bird opening», that is b...s...», then he played 1.c5 and House said «sicilian opening, that is coward». The name of the episode is «The jerk»
