ICC is very good for slow games, as they have many organized leagues, such as Team4545, the STC bunch, chess9030.com etc.
Finding Slow Time Control Games
Yes, ICC is good for slow games. Dan Heisman has a nice Slow Chess Guide on ICC page.
Here's my blog on playing slow chess on Chess.com:

As a beginner, I’m looking for slower time control games so I can take a little bit more time when working through moves. I’ve noticed that Dan Heisman and others recommend these slow games for noobs like myself.
Is there a way to find consistent live games on chess.com with time controls of at least 45 min per side? I tried setting up custom seeks for 45 min live games without any success. 30 min games are easy to get but I’d much prefer 45 or even 60 min games.
I see there’s a group on here called Not So Fast, is anyone using that to successfully to find slower games?
If chess.com isn’t a good option then can anyone recommend alternatives? Maybe ICC or FICS?
