I just won my first game ever against comp-1 with all assists turned off. Lots of losses before this point!
I know you mean that you high elos don't improve but it is there for people like me 😀
Anyhow, back to the OP... only 999 more to go!!!!
I dont know if you are serious but just in case.
The OP is trolling and I dont he is qualified to tell someone how to get better at chess, stop playing with a computer that literally blunders every move and get some games against human players. Also, dont forget to read books.
Well, I´ll believe you and I will take the time to recommend you some material. (hopefully you are not trolling me)
1. I know people have said countless times that tactics are important, but believe me when I tell you they are! Tactics are how games are won, if you have a great initiative or lead in development the only way to convert that advantage to something tangible is with tactics! If you have a lead in development you will convert it by attacking the enemy king, and that attack will usually end in a material loss for the enemy as they will have to give up material or get mated. So, study tactics, you have a membership here so use it! Try to do at least 20 (per day) or so tactical puzzles and forget about time, just focus on consistency. (TIP, never guess moves, dont make a move until you have calculated all the lines in your mind).
2. Dont study openings, following opening principles will be enough, if you get a bad position out of the opening after the game ends go back and ask yourself, what opening principle did I break? Why was my position bad after the opening?
3. Read annotated games! Annotated games are the best way to learn chess, you can learn what masters were thinking when they were playing their moves, a classic is "Logical Chess move by move" but there are some game collections like Botvinnik´s 100 games or some of Alekhine books (I have been trying to get my hands on New York 1924 after I red some annotated games by him, they are great).
So yeah, tactics, tactics, opening principles and tons of annotated games, that will surely help you improve, good luck.

That's not true! The computer does not literally blunder every move!
I register!! If it is still going. With all 4 of them.
Great! Can you post a screenshot that shows your current record against the computer?
macer75,
Is this still on? What are the time controls? Is it 1000 consecutive wins or not?
Any time controls; not necessarily 1000 consecutive wins.
This contests isn't meant to be prohibitively difficult. Rather, it should be accessible to just about everyone, and is meant to help people improve by encouraging them to play more games.
Shotout to my coach macer, he really knows how to teach chess, somehow I managed to blunder a completely won position against the freaking computer which made me in a must win situation for the next 15 games to get my rating back to 1702, if I lost even one game the games needed to get back to 1702 would duplicate so I needed precision.
Thanks to my coach´s idea I could practice my technique, by playing computer 1 I got the opportunity to practice my 2 bishop checkmate:
Beating computer 1 was hard, he was very well prepared against my KID and I need to display my knowledge on some critical lines:
Average moves per game: 40
Increment per move: 1
Total increment in both sides: 80 sec
Beginning time from both sides: 240
Average time per game: 240+ 80 = 320
320 x 1000 = 320,000 seconds
320,000/60 = 5333 mins
5333/60 = 88 hours
88/24 = 3.7 days
If you were to beat the computer every single time you played against it, it would take you approximately 3.7 days to get 1000 wins, which translates to 3 days and 16 hours with 48 minutes.
Good luck with that
What the heck is this
Real life, maybe fantasy, but one thing we can be sure about is that it is caught in a landside.
The lowest fide rating I ever had was 1925
How many time were you in your closet studying chess before assisting to a rated tournament?
The better question is, what engine are you using to assist you in your tournament games?

Um... that's a pretty serious accsation...
Okay, well it's a joke because there are some possible reasons for having a started FIDE of 1925. For example, he could've laid off on rated games for a long time or perhaps he had his rating somehow converted from another system to FIDE (playing only in non-FIDE matches for a while.)
Of course, if somebody did just start playing rated tournament games and was 1925 strength he would be cheating. Even very strong internet players have an initial "dip" before getting used to OTB tournament games.
But I don't think that's what this NM did, I think he just didn't do FIDE tournaments for a while and possibly did unrated tournaments or somehow converted from another system.
