Fischer's interview : Why he hated chess.

Interviewer : Are you the best player ?

Bobby : I am obviously I think so, alright...First of all you need to understand something about chess. Of course I am better than Morphy. Why I am better than Morphy ? I don't say I have more talent. I know much more theory, right... If he came back today and he could not open the book, he would do badly against masters may be. That has nothing to do with his talent though. So when you say I am better than someone doesn't mean anything. Do you want to say am I the most talented that is something else. Morphy was fantastic, Capablanca was fantastic

Interviewer : What about later ? World Champion Kasparov

Bobby avoiding direct answer : ahh... But as I say I don't like to delve into old chess because I hated so much. I think by delving into it I am promoting it in some way. I don't want to promote this goddamn game. My only interest in old chess, one interest only one interest, to expose the prearragement. People are living in dream world.

Chess is basically searching of truth. I am searching for truth. Truth is chess is not good in away. Chess is not good and it hasn't been good game objectively for 150 yrs.

Interviewer : Did you gradually started to hate chess or it becomes suddenly

Bobby : Did I gradually ?? I think it came gradually but then at certain point I was hating it but I didn't know it because I was still trying to make it work.

Instead of asking someone to do something why don't post whts wrong with my post ??

I simply posted word by word ( Except 2-3 words I guess which was hard to understand as interviewer and Fischer both were talking ).

I doubt that interview is written in modern english. I could barely understand some parts.

Well that was Fischer in old days talking. I posted word by word. Example.. Fischer was saying "right" after almost every sentence.

What's your age ? Have you grown up or still college boy mentality.

Maybe Fischer hated the " old " chess in his last years but he loved it up to 1972 for sure .  How could he become the WC if he hated it ?  Not likely and not believable .
