@Till: Same ole' same ole'. I haven't studied since October due to professional and other obligations. I still play a little online. I'm glad my tips have helped you. I won't charge you. Maybe if I started as a toddler, didn't work for a living, and had the best full-time coaches I could get to that level -- not sure. I might burn out after reaching 2900 though. Hope the English study is going well. My Spanish is not. Your emails are perfectly natural.
I think is most likely you take your exams OTB and visit the Maldives online.

Chicken you would have surpassed houdinis strength by far! Not 3000 but 4000 would be the league ur playing in ;D. You should ask Pulpofeira for help with your Spanish

that's not a problem nowadays. I have actually taken two of my exams at the university while I was in the Maldives. There are ways of proving that it is you who is playing...Many universities have online exams and even in some countries people vote online. it's a matter of time before online titles become the standard
Proving identity and proving that one is playing unassisted are two different things. If there was an arbiter/director at each site that could guarantee fairness, then it might become a thing but until then, probably not.
I'm sure everyone on this thread agrees with Adamov. Hey, I got an idea! Who needs Football anyway? Actually, all football players should play online, then they will get rating. Hah, you say? Who needs real places you can go to anyway? Who needs to go to a place, where you can interact, talk, analyze with other people? No one ofc! I have believed that Adamov has discovered the truth. Don't be silly. What does it matter if they know it is me playing if I can have a titled player sitting beside me advising me ? Or cheat with a program ?

Madrid. Mmm, are you planning to speak Spanish when you are here? I've never been in Barcelona as an adult, but I don't think an American would have any problem speaking Castilian Spanish there. Of course I guess trying the local language would be much appreciated. You should try Galicia though, every time I try their language locals switch to Castilian!
I don't agree with online titles. Cheating online is just about 1000 times easier.
