folks who resign when you take their queen

I don't understand this. When there's lots of materiel left in play, and you lose your queen. Why resign? It isn't necessarily an untenable position, and even if it turns out to be so, it's a great learning experience. Thoughts?

Losing your queen is resignable unless your opponent is under 800 rating.
