Interesting!
My all-time best in 100 fly is 1:03 (at age 14). If I trained for a couple of years more, I could say I was as fast as Spitz 😜
I wasn't aware there are white sharks in the Adriatic Sea!
Please be restpectful, you are talking with several times slovenian junior champion.

Spitz' fastest time in the 100 fly was 54.27. His 58 was his time as a +40 year old. The current world record is 49.82, by Phelps in 2009.

Talking about comebacks...what about everyone's favourite cheater, Lance Armstrong, suffering in Verbier?
54 years old Kasparov came back and was almost in form at the end. In the last day of blitz he is getting in form as he beat Nakamura,Caruana and Dominguez. 54 years old, more than a decade of inactivity and a 50% score against the world elite in blitz. I will call that a great performance.

Exactly
Awesome performance by Kasparov, I loved watching all of his games in an extremely tough field.... But has anyone heard if he is staying out of retirement or not? .. hope so
I can see why Carlsen chose to 'phone in sick' he was too scared to show up. I'd like to see a serious match between the two.

Maybe if you followed the GCT more closely, you would know that each of the tour players only plays in two of the Rapid & Blitz events; and Carlsen had already played in Paris and Leuven before this was announced.
Here's a petition for Kasparov to return: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/petition-for-kasparov-2-return
How about a Hou, Polgar, Krush, and young female American star rapid and/ or blitz?
Kind of like Champions Challenge in St Louis last year.
