Making repeated draw offers is a form of harassment and is against the rules. You would be justified in calling the director, although it would probably be better to gently point it out to the kid, who probably just didn't know better

Lol I am a kid tho and it would be rlly awkward to say that xD I’ve had worse tho. One guy pulled his cellphone out and was using it literally right in front of me. I doubt he was using an engine but still :/

wow lol

Literally everyone around was like *gasp*

did he get disqualified

Very few of us are prepared to face illegal or unethical behavior. I have had an opponent make a move, think for a second, then take it back and make another move! When I said, "you made a move, you can't take it back." And he said "No I didn't." I just sat there like an idiot too. Your opponent with the phone just sounds like he was clueless, not cheating

what's this.. i live this time to time.. opponent makes a mistake and offers a draw, they usually go offline when i dont accept. should i report them.. because they make me wait 3mins..

why do they offer draw while losing? is this normal? is this kind of a peace offer? why does it come only while they are losing? why dont anyone offer a draw while i'm losing?

do you live that too? how do you respond?

I pay no attention in most situations. I click on "don't show more draw offers" and keep playing. To be fair, the other player could have clicked on "draw" instead of "resign". In more cases, they just disconnect after my refusal. Why would I care? It's not like I'm losing anything as I already accepted to spend some minutes when beginning the game.

That said, there is this one case that really bugged me. My rival was in an inferior position and blundered material. He immediately offered a draw, saying it was a misclick. I replied that it happens to all, that it is part of playing online, and that he was in problems anyways. So he said I was no gentleman, that I was from a 3rd world country, that he was going to report me... Since then I clicked on "no chat", and everything is smooth.

That's what i'm going to do from now on, this looks like the best response.

Getting reported for being from a 3rd. world country.. sounds condescending... maybe you should have reported him instead..

people try to harm you in anyway they can.. especially when they cant handle to lose. they try to steal your time, they attack your psychology, they insult you.. so on.

i dont know why its too hard to say 'well played' and resign then leave.

some people are just stupid

Damonevic-Smithlov

umm... I'm probably late in asking this but... uh... what's an idiot sandwich?

sndeww

sandwiches that are idiots

Damonevic-Smithlov

That makes sense.

Aye, just remove the draw offers spam and mute the chat in your options panel. Anything else may distract you from the game.

"what's an idiot sandwich?"

It's a clever slang term. I wish I'd thought of it.

Get higher up the rating list. Those people will disappear. Before that, never get irritated when players exercise their rights. That will cause you to make mistakes, lose some games and your opponent is rewarded for his silly action. And then he'll do it again and again.
