It was a fun thread - I got some points out of it, made some jokes, OP got told, it was beautiful. There's not one reason not to resurrect it.

There is also not one reason not to point it out. I'd rather poke fun and point out how old a thread is rather than watch as somebody replies on one that is 3+ years old. If I can stop this from happening just once, I will be happy.

You are one of those people who make these forums worth it. 
But sometimes unburying an old thread is like adding water to old, dehydrated lemonade: There's still surprisingly much taste in it.

Unburying an old thread is perfectly fine. But old and dehydrated is much different from old and decayed. Anyway, you ever poke an old lemon? That crap is gross.
Alot of free forums are like that. If you want a better one then get premium membership on this site. As well as everything else you get you'll be able to post in the premium member forum which has much less of the things your complaining about.
