Actually, 2...Bg7 is supported by 3...d6. It is a fine move, as long as one does not follow it up with 3...Nf6, as hicetnun was trying to explain.

Post #124 : well, your country is really strange - in all other countries of the world, not only people play many different answers to the Tromp (notably 2...Ne4 and 2...e6), but even when they go 2...d5, white often prefers another structure (3.Bxf6 and 3.Nc3) being fairly popular. So not a Colle game at all, nowhistanding the presence of the dsb out of the pawn chain...

That being said, I suspect your 3.e3 answer may be more popular at U1800 level, but I haven't checked...
