Going downhill

I don't know what's going on. Two months back, I was playing quite good, like I reached a rating of 1550. Guess what? I have plummeted down to 1250 as of now. I have been playing chess regularly, so it's not that I left playing and the skills went down. Does this happen to you, and does anyone know what the heck is going on? I am angry, frustrated, dejected, depressed with myself right now. I used to study the books and games, checked the tutorials and did things. That motivation has vanished as I will lose anyway.

(Crunch Crackle) You are simply forming all sorts of new chess wiring within your brain(some good and some bad.) Compiling the good connections and disregarding the bad ones is a huge task. During these times, focus on understanding rather than rating. The more you understand the better and your rating will eventually catch up. And above all else, don’t lose hope.
