Good or bad decision?

Hello, today I started a tourny, and was first paired with a men with low rating and no FIDE so I played with no stress at all really relaxed looking for the endgame or just waiting for the blunder, the thing is the blunder never happened, and I always tought he was  maybe getting lucky so I kept pupshing towards the endgame.

Then we get into a Rook endgame, but it ends up in a draw after some complications, I refuse to repeat moves and go into a loosing line that I have to sac my R for a pawn, just becuse he as no fide I won't loose or win with him, was it ok or should I just take the draw anyway?

After the game I knew he as been a national champ as a junior lol and just 1 tourny ago (I did not follow it) he managed to draw the 2 top players there 2100++ :) At least I really learned this time to respect all opponents no matter the rating :)

Looks like a very interesting game. I know one thing, that being that you shouldn't underestimate anybody and play every game like you're playing against Annad.
