I love Gotham's youtube channel and I highly recommend it.(Although against buying his courses at the 900 / 1000 level) I think as far as chess streamers go, you can do significantly better. I prefer streamers like chessnetwork, who gives a stream of consciousness review of what he is thinking and what he is evaluating. Or like Ben Finegold, who plays basically by feel until he gets into the endgame, then tries to use his GM skillz to fix what mess he managed to get himself into. (doesn't always work out for him)
Gotham the streamer is less about the chess and more about hanging out with your friend Gotham. His games are pretty good, but he spends too much time being a bro hanging out for my taste.
My kids love the guy. I’m fine with him but he’s more chess themed entertainer than instructor from what I’ve seen so far, which has been a decent amount since my kids ask to watch him a lot now.
