Shiva's ridiculous dogma is so much more convincing than jesus' ridiculous dogma

Yes Pawnkeeper, a relationship.

A relationship that can get taken for granted, used and abused. We are never the victim either. Pawnkeeper, when was the last time you were convicted? And what did you do about it? Mine was today. There were times when I moved on and it was forgotten. But things kept happening to remind me. Isn't that amazing how the Holy Spirit works? How the Love of God will show mercy and is waiting, wanting to forgive us? Yes it is. When ever I'm thinking of doing something I shouldn't He gives me a subtle reminder not to do it. I have had Him four times spoken to me on what to do.

Watch the slander and name calling come from the atheists on that one.

Now that is scary, hearing voices in your head telling you what to do, honestly when people believe in talking snakes, giants, talking burning bushes it is the equivalent of telling someone that Harry Potter is not a documentary on the English education system. What a closed mind this guy has. The God who created every thing I am sure would be able to talk to me or anyone else He wants to. See, more slander.

Definition of slander,

"the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation"

so now prove the voices in your head are from god.

Wombat, as that science is above me, I'll let Celot debate it with you. I will say that since you dont know where the initial particles came from, thats sort of the same thing as saying that SOMETHING came from NOTHING.  Which was my point.

Regi, you right, it is insane to believe that all that was made just for us is insane. Ps 19:1  « To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. » The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Also, I know the Bible is perfect, not just Because God (or the Bible since its  Gods word) says so. I know its perfect, because I read it, and find no error in it. I dont find any, because there aren't any. It has no error in it, and not because I say so either.
And, I know there is a God, because only He could write a perfect book.

Why can't they always have existed--you use that argument for your deity Tongue OutWink

I do love comic books,

but the onus is on YOU how do you know the bible is "it" when you haven't tried the others?

FAR more people have found faith in Shiva than ever have in jesus.

LMAO. You know nothing about slander. Not all slander is "criminal," your reference here would fall under the category of civil slander except for the fact that truth is an affirmative defense to a slander claim. Secondly, calling a person names or describing a person with labels is not slander, unless it accuses the person of a crime, e.g. John Doe robbed a liquor store; or unless it accuses the person of moral turpitude, e.g. John Doe is an adulterer; otherwise you must prove special damages as result of the statement made such as, losing your job because your boss heard the statement.

You wise guys think that you are so smart and clever and tout your expertise in theology, science, history, grammar, law and etc. but every time you open your mouths you make utter fools of yourselves.

I shall go slowly here, the bloke who hears voices in his head accused me of slander, I am now asking for proof that I am guilty of slander, what would happen if the voices in his head told him to harm someone as it is the will of god, do you believe the voices in his head are from god? now this is a simple yes or no.

Could you imagine having a quiet pint in the pub and the bloke on the next table leans across and says.

"I HEAR VOICES IN MY HEAD"

" Ehh that's nice, what do these voices say"

"THEY ARE FROM GOD AND THEY TELL ME TO DO THINGS"

How quick would you sup up.

Towelie, and what about intraclasts, fossils that are dimembered, (virtualy all of them, so no predators) fossil graveyards where fossils are dismembered, and mixed with wood, debris, ect. Fossilised jellyfish, (that could only be fossilised if they where buried quickly in the right conditions, flood) ect. I can give more if you need more.

Also, the flood model can creat the errosion necessary for valleys, ect. But your premise on the erosion having to be evenly distributed is false. Different sedimentary layers would erode differently. For instance, in rivers, the whole river bank does not have the same rate of errosion everywhere.

And there is alot of widespread evidence of a catastrophy of this magnitude.

This link gives access to several articles that describe the widespread evidence for a flood. https://answersingenesis.org/the-flood/global/worldwide-flood-evidence/

I agree with Celot about voices, ect.

I do believe at one point God did speak directly to some people. (prophets, ect, and where it says specificaly in the Bible that God spoke) I believe that now that we have the Bible, there is no need for God to speak to us directly. (this is not to say that He never does, I do not pretend to know God)

Did someone say the earth is young and there is evidence of a worldewide flood?

Modern geology, its sub-disciplines and other scientific disciplines utilize the scientific method to analyze the geology of the earth. The key tenets of flood geology are refuted by scientific analysis and do not have any standing in the scientific community. Modern geology relies on a number of established principles, one of the most important of which is Charles Lyell's principle of uniformitarianism. In relation to geological forces it states that the shaping of the Earth has occurred by means of mostly slow-acting forces that can be seen in operation today. By applying these principles, geologists have determined that the Earth is approximately 4.54 billion years old. They study the lithosphere of the Earth to gain information on the history of the planet. Geologists divide Earth's history into eons, eras, periods, epochs, and faunal stages characterized by well-defined breaks in the fossil record (see Geologic time scale). In general, there is a lack of any evidence for any of the above effects proposed by flood geologists and their claims of fossil layering are not taken seriously by scientists.

The global flood cannot explain geological formations such as angular unconformities, where sedimentary rocks have been tilted and eroded then more sedimentary layers deposited on top, needing long periods of time for these processes. There is also the time needed for the erosion of valleys in sedimentary rock mountains. In another example, the flood, had it occurred, should also have produced large-scale effects spread throughout the entire world. Erosion should be evenly distributed, yet the levels of erosion in, for example, the Appalachians and the Rocky Mountains differ significantly.

yeah, but who cares?

wasn't it Bishop Ussher in the 17th C. (just from memory) who said of the fossils being dug up then supporting a non-biblical view of our world: God put them there to test our faith.

You'll win on the argument but some of these guys just aren't open to proof of a different reality other than the one they've decided that the Bible contains (and which is perfect).

For people who claim to deal in 'facts' you sure use the word 'beieve' a lot.

Ever think about why that may be?

I don't 'believe' in polar bears.

Because I don't have to.  Polar bears are real

Avatar of dtf15

Regi, and you 'believe' that nobody can know any answers.

As do athiest, and evolutionists. They have to believe, since there is no scientific explanation that explains the very very begining.

Avatar of regi-mental

No. Athiests and evolutionists believe they KNOW the answers, as do christians, muslims, hindus........

Avatar of regi-mental

and I do not believe that nobody CAN know the answers.  I believe that nobody DOES know the answers.

who knows what will happen tomorrow

not me

Here is something for all you Obama lovers.

Subject: Oh Crap

Date: April 25, 2016 at 1:48:37 PM PDT

First Muslim Woman Judge Carolyn Walker, hand-picked by President Obama sworn in as judge of the 7 Municipal District, Brooklyn by holding the Holy Quran at Brooklyn Boro hall on December 10, 2015, it was a Historic Day!!

Since the Quran forbids all law but Sharia Law, I guess she will head the first Federally sanctioned Sharia Court. Kinda makes you proud, doesn’t it? Gives me chills up my legs said Chris Mathews.

Very little media coverage on this ......Another chink in the armor, no one cares, until it's too late ! Step by step by step....this is how our culture will end.

Obama supporters, your dream is coming true in destroying America.

Conversation with God is not the Bible in any way.

And not reading an article, because its "biased religiously" is completely rediculous!

I'm not going to listen to any evolutionary article, because they are biased against God!

And also, the inventor of the MRI, Isaac Newton, Louis Pasteur, and many, many more, where (and are) all Christian! So your not going to pastuerise milk because it was a creationist who decided that that was the best way to do it? or your not going to put any stock into Newtons laws? Or your not going to get scanned by an MRI? The list could go on.

Could you give the refference of king Davids quote? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me: 2 Sam 12: 23

David was confident that his son would meet him in heaven. This is an indication that babies and perhaps children who pass from this world to the next will go to heaven.

Avatar of dtf15

pawnkeeper, first of all, David said and did many things which where wrong.

Secondly, it does not say that David will meet his son in heaven. It could also imply that his son is gone, and the only thing that David can do is follow. Meaning die also.

I think God purpesfuly chose not to specificaly say that babies would go to heaven when they die. Exactly because if so, then people would just kill their kids to make sure they get to heaven.
