Greatest Chess Photos

And we're working our way back to greatness - well done owlyboly!
(Guy with Pillsbury in post 1163 has a dollop of dances with wolves and maybe just a pinch of poacher.)

Damn, somebody beat me to it! Written by this fellow...
...who was a rated expert btw (or so they tell me), and who once won the Santa Monica Open. He wrote another story called "The 64-Square Madhouse" featuring a number of drolly disguised GMs (Reuben Fine as Simon Great, for example)...and tour-guided by the namesake of Tartakover.
Fritz the Younger in addition had a small part in the 1937 Camille with Greta Garbo (where he plays a messenger delivering a missive to the legendary Swede), and he features rather prominently in that 1970 epic of weirdness, Equinox.
His dad btw was quite the little thespian as well. Among many other characters on stage and screen, he played Franz Liszt in the 1943 version of Phantom of the Opera (the one with Claude Rains in the title role).

i realy like this picture... Korchnoi look sooo big and Karpov so small. maybe it is already posted but i have not, yet, seen all the great pictures :)
This thread is active for 4 years!!
and rightfully so, it should one day get an honorable mention when people talk about chess.com

What?
I put a reply here with photos of Chess Players Maria Manakova, Regina Pokorna, Elisabeth Paetz, Natalia Zukova and...My cat and he was deleted??? Why?
Incredible! censorship?! I Can't believe! The photos are public, and nobody is naked, indeed my Cat!

I'm a fan of the female form, as much as the next man. However, those images didn't really fit the title and in fact, cheapened my viewing.
I'm glad that they're gone, just my opinion.

Yes. The topic is greatest chess photos, and while skin and breasts may be great, and even on chess players, they don't add up to great chess photos.
Not appropriate.
At least in this thread.
