Sadly Gukesh will never be remembered in the same way as Carlsen, in my opinion and i am not alone Gukesh will struggle to defend his title there is a stronger field of players coming through + Carlsen has won 5 Classical world titles, as well and Blitz and Bullet Gukesh will sadly not be challenging Magnus's status anytime soon!
Great Win for Gukesh! Much needed to support his WC title. Not that I'm anti-Carlsen, I'm just old school.... and believe the Classical format is the pinnacle of Chess prowess. So im in Gukesh's camp! AWSOME GAME... I DO THINK Carlsen's last win against Gukesh might of had him a little compliant. UNLIKE Carlsen to make a mistake late in the endgame like did.... props for Gukeshfor staying in the fight! IT'S A GREAT Time to be into the sport of chess. THERE HAS BEEN ONLY 2 OTHER TIMES where " Old guard vs New guard " has been as prominent as today.
