Claude Bloodgood killed his mother.
Have you ever heard of a chess player rated over 2000 commit a crime of any type

who is claude bloodgood and what was his rating......why did he do that .....did he get into a kind of schizophrenic mood.......later in life people can develop psycosis.......if so we can separate this incident apart from chess...

it took me several minutes to look up for Norman Tweed Whitaker.....and actually found nothing more than an intelligent and hyperactive man......i think they are not serious crimes...he hasnt hurt anybody afterall.....

i looked up for Claude Bloodgood and found that he is actually under 2000 rating.....he has done some prison tricks to increase it though...he is also a person of ill mental health.....

Mark Willey(USCF ID 12255140) is serving time in prison for a violent dispute with his sister. I talked with him on a few occasions at a local coffee house before the incident and he pointed me to some decent online chess resources.

bobby fischer broke terms of trade embargo and then became a refugee of the law
"Allegedly"

The sad case of the en passant murder
A man who was knifed to death in a frenzied attack over a late night game of chess had one of his lungs removed during the attack, it has been revealed.
Researcher Tom O’Gorman was found badly mutilated in his north Dublin home in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A post-mortem examination of the 39-year-old’s body found one of his lungs had been removed and remains missing, leading to suspicions it was eaten, the Irish Mirror reports....
O’Gorman is believed to have died after a violent row erupted over a chess move and spiralled out of control.

"In 1964, [International Master] Raymond Weinstein was arrested for murder after he killed an 83-year old man in a nursing home with a razor. He was judged mentally ill and was confined to Ward’s Island for the mentally ill."
He went to the same high school as Bobby Fischer, but was two years ahead of him.

I think you are under the impression that people over 2000 elo are impervious to committing crimes for some reason. You try to justify exceptions with other reasons... The truth is, all types of people commit crimes.
In July 1998 journalist Larissa Yudina was killed on behalf of FIDE president Kirsan Ilyumzhinov.
Wow! I didn't know that!
Kasparov bit a policeman and he was a little bit over 2000.
The question is, was he a little over .20 as well?

One should make a distinction between common criminal behaviour and political so called criminal behaviour. In Kasparov's case you cant say he is a criminal. Look at the crimes commited by politicians and should someone who resist them be called a "criminal"? Look at Robert Mugabe of ZImbabwe, stealing the land of white farmers. Mugabe is breaking every law in the book, but because the Army is keeping him in power, he is the law.
I havent heard of any chess player rated over 2000 comitted a crime of any type, have you ?
