According to proper chess etiquette, you should be fully clothed whether playing OTB or on the internet. The only exception is when you give a discovered check.

Yes, but only when playing a girl. That's why I have 14/14 against them in OTB chess.

At home it's just my wife and I, and at least ninety percent of the time when I am playing computer chess or working on chess tactics or whatever, I am naked on the couch while she goes about her business. No big deal.

I started a game that way once but repented when the white king started undressing as well.

But on a serious note, there are aftermarket webcam covers that you can buy if you're worried about such a thing.
