i mean that recently a lot of people joined chess.com and they have to get their ratings high to their real skill level but when they didn't actually get to it their rating is not their quality of play, you get it?

Sometimes there are bad playing days...and sometimes there are good playing days.

It's normal.

Start playing games with longer time controls and remember to take breaks since you start to press too much or out too much pressure to obtain a desired result and when that does not happen , it is a cycle that will continue until you get off the cycle and maybe find something non competitive such as watching a comedy or listening to an audio book.

it went up a bit few days back and again down. its been over a month below 1400 rating

Don’t forget that some days you are the bear and some days, the bear eats you.

I didn't know that bears eat other bears.

@Teju17, You are relying on intuition while playing blitz, so you would have a rating decline after playing blitz for a long time, as you would not be so used to calculating all the variations.

Sometimes this is true. Other times we just seem to go up or down in rating for no real reason, other than normal fluctuations. I remember one time my rating dropped about 150-200 points within a few days and it is like I couldn't even win the most simple of endgames. I'd play really well and then drop a piece or lose internet connection, or whatever (super frustrating - especially the things that feel out of your control). Anyway, I eventually turned it around after realizing that these fluctuations are normal (although annoying) and that everyone experiences them.

During my slump, I created this forum that helped me and now I send this forum to threads like these with the hopes that it may be of use to others too

you shoul do some puzxles and maybe get lesson m, dose not have to be private or on site, you can go to many youtube channels and learn endgames, middle and openings and tactics.

i will recommend the Chesswebiste, a channel in youtube

Sometimes there will be slumps that players fall into. It happens to everybody, even world champions. So what you need to do is take a breather and maybe stop playing for a day or two. This will allow to recover and gather yourself. Then, go back in there and get your rating points back!! Also, check out my blog www.chess.com/blog/komodochess13 as I have some interesting information there.

This is exactly what happening to me. My own explanation is that I changed my perception of the game.  I feel much more relaxed and trying to play more to enjoy the game, than fighting to win points.
