Before I start, I'm basically new to the game of Chess (and this website). Recently, I've been playing this game against one of my classmates. I play as Black, and he plays as white.
I don't know how to describe it well, but my opponent always has the most annoying opening. He moves all of his pawns up one space and waits for the other man to attack. If the other man doesn't do anything, he moves his rook back and forth. I've only played against him a couple of times, but I can't figure out a counter to it.
I Am no master, but I can offer some tips. That opening is actually really bad. My suggestion: develop. Move out your bishops, Knights, rooks, queen, castle etc. Then attack from wherever you placed your troops. I suggest the b3 square, the one unprotected. Take as long as you want. Just not 50 moves, or a draw will occur if there is no piece traded off. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the help. However, I forgot to completely fill out the diagram. It wouldn't look like that in an actual game (I would have moved my pieces).
