Help with membership

Sort:
Aschar

I am a poor college student who would like a diamond membership but, I can't afford it. Maybe someone who doesn't mind giving away a membership (is well off monetarily) would give it as a gift to me? A month would even be great but the year is a much better deal.

I will be eternally grateful!

Thanks! B-D

Do you know what you'd be getting?  Have you given the free trial a try out, re. your earlier topic:  http://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/free-trial

You don't seem to be very active on site (you've not joined any 'groups', and your fellow members in a group might be more apt to toss a bunch of money at you for something like a one-year or one-month Diamond membership).

^ I do play regularly, but haven't joined any groups yet, that is a good idea sftac! I was thinking about signing up and decided that diamond is what i want, but sadly, I can't afford it at this time

I did give a gift to a member here, but he earned it, and did not ask for it, by finding me a music artist that I have not heard of before. After listening to the Artist, I was so appreciated,  had to show that by a gift!

So moral of the story, do not be a beggar, earn it, even if you have to push a broom. BTW, I am a music lover, chess second lolo  OH! anyone that reads this, there is a good great music sound track, "Searching For Bobby Fischer", Nice music for back ground when playing chess, some of the tracks are #2 Early Victories, #4 The castle, and "start your Clocks"!

And BTW, what are you studying to be??  Good LuckCool

and part of adulthood is realizing I have the money, but it needs to be spent on more important things (so i don't have to eat ramen noodles everyday)

Don't worry Obama is working on a special fund for poor chess players. He will get money from hard working Americans and "re-distribute" it to people like you. Now you being from Chicago should be top of the list. Check your mail box April 16, 2012.

You still sound like Babbitt.
