I think the Grob is even better than fianchettoing your king. Because the Grob was played by Claude Bloodgood, a profoundly gifted chess player often dubbed the "Ramanujan of chess". He reached 2789 USCF with no formal training.

You fianchetto your king as fast as possible and then wait for your opponent to hang a piece.
