"Houdini" capture style in OTB chess

I've seen a video on youtube about types of people capturing people in chess OTB, one of the capture types was mentioned by the name "houdini". Many blitz otb players also captured this exact way, they held their capturing piece and replaced the opponent's piece in one motion. Does anyone know the proper name, if such there is and how to exactly do it? It seems like a cool skill to have
