how annoying

I just posted and have been reading a topic about cheating, which I would like to add I do not do..........It got me thinking what I like about chess or playing online with all you great and not so great players. I would also like to hear any of your thoughts about annoying situations. Let me continue..recently ive been playing alot of speed chess, theres not much skill but I like the buzz or the ooOos and RRRRrrrs, bit of luck involved  I know(60sec). What im getting at is in some games when I pause and look at the board , I think what a great position I would love more time with the same player to take my time and like wise to enjoy each others play. Im knot sure if you can extend the time in anyway maybe it already exists or maybe not.......if not it could be a future click away. Or a suggesting improvement for chess.com

extending time would change the dynamics of play greatly. Also, you might extend the time controls from bullet->blitz or blitz to standard, which causes fuzziness in apparent strength of people, and skew ratings a bit amongst the 3 classes.

I can only imagine the rage and immaturity of players here when they lose on time when the opponent does not accept a time up request

thinking about it , a pause button like a draw button but a simple pause, where you could increase the time ,of course' you would'nt be able to use it in a tournament but what an option that could be Cool

rage and immaturity will always be there, unfortunately its part of life .

I think alot more of that kind of thing goes on. Shame but as long as you enjoyed the game and you won , brilliant . If you had lost I cant think of any satisfaction the other player would have gained.

Undo would also be nice. As in maybe a 3 lives policy where you can have 3 undos and after that only get the takeback if the other player agrees.

danthemasterman

not three lives dude ..laughing... just more time if you both want to.

yep the only thing that suck is when people have to use engine to cheat. i do not know why they do it it does not achieve anything. at times it is frustrating but generally engines play bad in close positions so i try to play an opening that they dislike like english opening :D

i think the guy your referring to has 13 straight losses. probably not an engine.

Seriously guys, unless you are rated like 2200 minimum, you most likely wont be facing engines. they would just power through most players.

You_Know_Poo

I dont think anyone uses engines in live chess (not at my level for sure).

I got annoyed when my opponent said ''so slow ur'' through chat and then shortly after asked for a draw. Being a beginner I felt that maybe I should, that my more experienced opponent could see there was no mileage left. But having annoyed me with his comment and I actually felt there was a chance I could still win, I declined and made my move. He immediatly asked for a draw again which I ignored and made my move. Then he timed out yesterday morning and hasn't logged on since....draw your own conclusions!!

you did have a better position(probably winning). i looked at the game, and there were very many tactical errors on both sides of the board. you definitely had many chances to win earlier. such as 39 bxe8 rxe8 40 f6, and pawn is unstoppable
