Checkmate

By: Hea2t

Chess is an expression of writing;

There is an elaborate process.

Moves are prepared early to win;

They are outlined to connect sense, and complete points.

A pawn is never sent unprotected on a board,

Neither is a sentence.

Pawns provide a frame for the game.

Sometimes, you can surprise the other.

Essentially the frame is the soul.
All the other pieces fall in their place.

Without structure,

The game is entirely lost.

Development is crucial.

Cheating is optional.

Whatever path is taken,

Pieces are sacrificed for better position.

The complexity of chess is different.

There is not just one mind writing the story.

We write scripts against each other.

And we both still journey to our conclusion;

Checkmate.

Chess is an escape from life. That's why I'm sat here writing on a chess forum instead of getting the early night i promised myself.

"Agination:widow-orphan" sounds like a death metal band and their latest album.
