How come GMs are too snooty to post in the forums?

 We will!  As soon as you stop creating 150+ threads.  Jesus, you got 2 more today, and its not even noon time.  Why can't you be like your brother?

It is not politics, it is history. And one of the seasons why GM's do not use public forums might be lethal level of ignorance, other would be overwhelming sense of hysteria.

@fewlio, with or without USA help Soviets would win, it would take a bit longer, but there is no doubt about their final victory. The only difference is that Russian language speakers do not amount to 95% of Europe population nowadays.

You probably also believe that the reason they invaded Iraq and Afghanistan was because they wanted to free the local citizens from terrorists. 

Speculation, I doubt most serious military historians believe an unfettered germany would have lost to russia.  If true, it just reinforces that we saved the ungrateful and blundering europeans from german and soviet domination.  Thank us double if that is your belief.  Ungrateful cowards!

I firmly belive in what the US was founded under, and i also believe that they do have others interests at heart.  But make no mistake about it.  The US "wants theres" too.

If I were a GM, I'd spend all my time making fun of patzers.

And why would they do that? Nobody pay them to do it. They don't play vs low rated, so why joining forums... if they want to help you they will expect money or it will be some form of subs to their channel etc...

Other reasons:

Because everyone here is a jerk... a lot of players don't respect title players and they act rude against them or cheat in online chess or play agressive and silly otb etc..

For a GM chess is something special, it's is really under his level to join disscusion with low rated patzers and because we are many we can "attack" them.. they see chess almost as Job.. they have reputation etc.. Only thing they can post is to advertasi their profile or something.. but thats not allowed i think.

More reasons.. forums are Outdated.. oldschool.. Now there are Streams. A title player can stream and answer question and explaing stuff while viewers sub to their channel or even better - donate.

There are also "shows" like Spicy chess here on chesstv where title players like Simon are paid to play/explain/analyze/entertain viewers for couple of hours.

And just like someone else already mentioned, GMs realize that forums are full of people who are very very egoistical and they want the GM to dedicate a lot of time helping them FOR FREE. 

"Dear Mr. GM, I know that you are a very busy person, but I would really appreciate if you can analyze this game I just had and say what I can do to improve. Thank you!" 

"Dear Mr. GM, I know that you get tons of messages, but I really need your help. I have my first OTB tournament next week and I feel nervous, can you give me advice? Thanks!" 

"Dear GM, I know you don't have time, but I really have a big problem. What do you recommend me to play against e4? I have tried the Sicilian but I lose most of the time. What should I do?" 

And when "Dear GM" does not answer their question, many of them became very offended (since for whatever reason they feel Mr GM has the obligation to help them) and write "Wow, I am so disappointed. I thought you were a helping person, but now I see you are selfish and not willing to help anyone. I just unsubscribed from your YouTube channel".

if you look at the few bumped necro threads from years and years back. you will see her comments.

I think the easy answer is that there's so much crappy, argumentative stuff that it has no interest for a professional.
