How many navel gazing threads can one person start in one day?
Are you trying for the world record? Put a sock in it, Please.
And get some rest. Looks like you need it.

I lose a lot, then win one, lose a lot, then win one, lose a lot, then win one... I'm pretty consistant. I'm sort of prow-less.

Oh, I dunno borgy, if you see a thread started by me, just disregard it. If you stare at navel gazers you're a voyeur. If you try to reason with a fool, you are a fool. I'm not saying I'm a fool, I'm saying you're a fool because you think I'm a fool and you are trying to reason with me, which of course is futile to the point of being a kind of navel watching in and of itself. Now if you're a foolish navel gazer yourself, but trying to pin it on me, that makes you a hypocrite. And let me tell you, I don't take no sheet from hypocritical navel gazers.
What does omphaloskepsis have to do with mental alertness?
After a couple of red bulls, I go on a winning streak and then once I crash...I got nothing but losses.
But seriously, my blitz rating should have a spread of 100 points because I can lose 100 and then regain them in 24 hours. It varies.
I wish I could pinpoint the cause of that too. Then I'd just keep winning. lol.
I go on rolls where I can win a lot of games and play very well (relative to my typical rating, in blitz, which is not stellar). Then other times I can't seem to win for the life of me and lose a lot of games. I use it as a barometer to determine how well my mind is working. Sometimes it's not clear to me why I am on a losing streak but I figure something must be off.
And then I wonder, could it be a matter of being a millisecond or two slower in thought speed, that could make all the difference? Just being a little more fatigued without realizing it? Is this a common problem? Has anyone developed a good strategy for identifying down days before losing to many games and for being consistently better or at least knowing the best time to step away and return?
I've also noticed that if I spend much time away from the board, I have to play some games to get on a roll again.
