LOL. it sounds more crazy that it is. i was going through the archives of a WGM that she lost to a 500 (it was a rated game) but later realized that the 500 was so slow that the WGM went for a sleep maybe. and he managed to win on time! LOLO

But grandmasters are grandmasters afterall she took her revenge by beating him in the next 2 games maybe she challenged him for a rematch.

but the strangest part which i discovered was how could chess.com give a WGM a Blitz rating of 800? I Mean like seriously?

Winning on time doesn't mean anything.

@TRextastic This is the only way by which a 500 can beat a grandmaster!

It's easy to only have a 900 rating; started as a 1200, lost the first game to what appears to be a disconnection and has only played 5 games in total.

What? Then what are those clocks for? Time is very important factor in chess, especially in blitz chess, its all about time management.

I meant it doesn't mean anything in terms of player skill or who was superior. Not online when you can't even know why she ran out of time. 7 minutes went by without her making a move. The position was dead even. I also think her opponent's rating was bogus.

@sanju_1996d pete is still at 500 and 2 years have passed!

@TRextastic his best win is only 1200s because when he got past the WGM she herself had a rating of 800!( not in real life though that is 2500) i am talkin about chess.com ratings.

I think she was just giving a lesson, she doesn't really play any fast games if you read between the lines at her profile.......she just resigned or let the time go on purpose....no real mystery.

when they are training youngsters they often have to pretend they are just as bad at chess to make the game interesting for the learner.
