been playing for a couple months my rating got to 1300 in standard, now it's been a week and I haven't gotten a better rating. why? im putting in a decent amount of time but progress seems like it has been slowing down. tips? do I need to find different ways to improve? does anybody want to play a few unrated games and point out my flaws? so I know what to work on.

tactic engine stop? that happens to me. I do really good at the state tournament but then suck a month later at a regular tournament

And by the way, time is measured in years, not weeks. So not improving in a week is pretty meaningless.

Well, maybe not years (it still depends), but months feel more right. Weeks though, is just too fast unless you just started playing or something, and can get to 900 quickly.
