Over draw button is that button. Don't have to enable specially. It is under the moves.

Conditional moves are not to be confused with premoves. Conditional moves are only allowed in chess.com daily games (that I am aware). The button with the crossing arrows is for conditional moves; from there simply predict an opponent move and save the line - if done correctly, then this move will be played as soon as the opponent moves to where you predicted in premove fashion. Unlike premoves, I don't think there is any prior enabling needed.

This is correct, the "crossing arrow" button I am referring to in daily games is above the "draw" button.

I think it's very annoying when I try to use this feature in daily games, because it is only accesible after you've made your move, and by then it might be too late.

I'd want this function to be working including my first move, then I can see if my idea holds and reject it if it doesn't.

It does work on the first move.  I've seen entire openings go with conditional moves.  Its actually a little annoying at times. Sometimes. I make a different move than the "Line" just to throw a curve in my opponent's conditional move routine. HeHe.

the "conditional move" button only appears after you've made your move, and by then it's too late. So I can't get it to work.

Probably only used best when it's a forced move. Or after a exchange you know there going to take back.

I use it to speed up daily games a bit by predicting some of the moves I think are their candidate moves. Obviously, forced mates and mating nets work well with this - but you're right Theshallowend, I don't set up conditional moves for every move of the game. Conditional moves also can speed up opening lines too; however, sometimes evaluating a position in the moment (versus calculation in your head) in the better option.

Can you use conditional moves through the app? I can't seem to find the crossed arrows. Thanks

No the app still does not have conditional move functionality. I've seen posts dating back to 2013 of people asking for this functionality. It's been 6 years and still no update? Seems strange for such an easy feature to add. Just let us promote one of our analysis boards to conditional moves

Sorry to necro this post, but what I do is I hit "Analysis" and play out how I think things will go, and then I save it. From that point, if you want to do it quickly, you can open a second tab with the game and quickly enter in what you saved in Analysis.

If your opponent moves before you can do that, they either think quick or probably had a conditional move set already and that's just how it rolls. But this can help you when that's not the case so you can mess around with different possibilities and once you're sure of what you want to go for, you can save it and run it. I hope that helps.
