Maybe sometimes you aren't feeling it and tilt for some time and if you realize you are continually tilting maybe take a longer break. I am doing the same thing right now

Yeah.

I guess the best way to stop tilt is to just take a break and return after some time.

If you're losing a lot, you should stop and review your games, to see what you're doing wrong.

If you don't learn from your mistakes, you'll be doomed to repeat them.

Example:

Player loses several games in a row. "ARGH!"

Player stops, analyzes their games with an engine to see what they're doing wrong.

"Oh, hey! I shouldn't be playing d4-d5 in these positions! Crap. Now I see what I was doing wrong."

Boom. Player is now slightly stronger and better at chess.

._. I don't have that much time. Just keep grinding

unless its Rapid. Then analyze every game as soon as you play it. Analyzing slow games should be a second nature

Yeah but ... that's why so many players struggle for years at the same level ...

Because they keep playing without learning from their mistakes. A lot of times, they don't even know what mistakes they're making, because they don't even bother to look for them.

i might be that one weirdo who analyzes like 99% of their games, including bullet ones...

it kind of helps!?

(i'll be honest, chess.com's report system is so aesthetically pleasing with the colorful best move indicators blunder indicators and stuff)

Yeah. The analysis helps for some stuff.

Mr. GM chess player, yesterday your country was Island and today your country is Tonga.

How come you go to Tonga from Island all of a sudden. I don't understandhappy.png

I think Island to Tonga is also a Tilt kind of thingtongue.png

Sometimes people think they are tilting, when in fact they are just playing better players. Check the average rating of those you lost to, to the ratings of your average win. If you’re losing to people you would normally have beaten, it’s probably tilt. If they are rated higher than your average win, then it’s likely not.
