How do live vs daily ratings compare?

Hi all. I have played live chess here for about a year, usually 15 minute games . My rating generally fluctuates in the 1600s. I only recently got into 1 and 3 day games. In less than a dozen games I have been easily winning against 1500s and 1600s and have a 1681 rating. Are the live and daily ratings out of sync? Do others who play both time limits find that their daily rating is higher than live rating? Or is just that I play relatively smarter slow chess and dumber quick chess? I play chess for pleasure and don't care much about ratings, but I am curious to know

You will find the same in my ratings. Chess players use fast skills, like pattern recogition, and slow skills, such as search for the best move. As time controls tighten, you can't use your slow abilities, so your chess gets worse.
