HOW DO THEY DO IT

I am currently playing a player in a Tourney and this guy has over 1300 games going. surprise

Most of his games are 1 day games. surprisesurprise

How do they do it?

Is it healthy?

Best of luck to him but I doubt he will be able to keep up. I am playing him very reserved and trying to just get a positional advantage on him. Sooner or later, because he does not have time to think through his moves, he will make that fatal mistake and then I will make him pay. wink

They're retired or a kid. It's the summer time so many kids have endless hours.

Some people manage to pull it off, but it requires something like 8-10 hours a day just to make one move in each game... so it's common for people to get tired of this within a few weeks, and time out a large portion of their games... so trying to drag the game out many moves sounds like a good strategy.

And make my moves against him as soon as he makes his. He usually gets down to about 2 minutes before timing out. He will break.

I was playing an opponent a while ago who had more than 2000 games on the go at the same time. How? I was playing him in two fourteen day matches and he always took 13 1/2 days to move. Very frustrating. Sadly, he managed to beat me in both games .... eventually.

Keep us updated on how you did, your determination is intriguing

Daily players like that--who take nearly their entire allotment of time to make a move--are, at least in a number of cases, probably doing that on purpose, just to frustrate you and affect your game...

His business, not yours.

You should play him the same way you would play anyone else. He is playing a lot of games, and that may catch up to him, but you should play your game.

They are probably really bored and decided to start over 1300 games. I'm impressed that they are able to keep up

Yorygog

That is what I do not get, How in the heck do they keep up. I will get back to how it all turned out but I think he will crack and will not be able to.

yeah

I used to sweaty tryhard on daily and i dont do it now

They might be cheating... or using a bot to make random moves. I have no idea how they could keep up. That's just impossible.

Well, the guy finally did crack. I knew there was no way he was going to keep up with all those games. I suspect it was a younger person who did not realize he bit off more than he could chew.

I actually feel bad for him.

Check this out: when he timed out of our 2 games he had a record of:

W---765

L---421

D--126

I looked back over his recently completed games and just today he lost over 150 games on time. So before he could not keep up with that pace any longer his record had to be around

W---765

L---270

D---126

That is a great  Win %. But he threw it all away from trying to play to many games at once.

I do not know why but something about him just kind of fascinated me.

I would like to message him just to know how he got in so deep and why? He might take it the wrong way though so I probably will not but I do admire his spirit.

How do they have the time to do that kind of stuff, there's a thing called life you know

Yorygog

One thing for sure it can not be a healthy thing.
