Wow, lol, not sure I'll have to time.
How do you feel about having a race to 10,000 tactics problems?

They said in the Paris commentary that when Kasparov played that blitz quad in St Louis he did 18000 tactic problems as part of his preparation.

Sure, you're probably right. I'm just dropping a fact, not saying Kasparov did 18k so folks should try to do 10k. I'm not a big fan of doing tactic puzzles myself.

Seriously? Wow. I guess I can believe it. Wonder what his source or sources of tactics that he used.

I've done 1336 here this year and close to 1491 at another site and I do several every day. So 10,000 is a little too much for me - a 2 year thing. But for those with the time, it IS worthwhile for improving your chess skill.

What a great idea! I'm struggling to do 30 a day, so I'm not going to win the race, but this should help keep me on track.

I have completed 5,000 since the middle of May. It wouldn't take too long to get to 10,000 and I don't do them every day.
anyone wanna race? theirs no prize except getting better at chess.
