Hi Hluek, seem looking good. I assess my opponent to look at his weaknesses in his openings in the first five moves. But often times, I forgot my pieces positions that causes blunder on my part. This in part made me lose the game. Playing chess sometimes is stressfull.

Funny, don't find it anymore exciting. Only in my mind but when in real scenario, can't do it anymore. My eldest kid just got married. Sooner or later I will be a grandpa. How fast time is. It just like yesterday when my kids were still babies. Guess this must be the result of too much alcohol and smoking.
But for chess, though its stressfull, it is entertaining. Winning takes away stress. Losing gives you more of it.

Why is it that the guys who tell us that IQ means nothing always still somehow manage to slip what theirs is into the conversation? 
dunno Clifton, I dont think IQ means nothing, it means a measure taken of ability to do IQ tests, which are abstractions of general problemsolving, not hereditable in my expereince, and increasable, phasic and ethnic task specific.
intelligence which I am expert in, is something altogther different IMO.

Is this true. I mean you have all the right to refuse an offer. How can anyone justify such action other than that. I always believe that this is a place for learning different cultures and ideas. But kicking off a member for such insignificant reason is unfair.

That is great Hluek. I am trying to hit 1500 in the blitz but to no avail, am still in the 1400 rate. Too hard to beat 1600 and 1700 rated players in a ten minute game.
Found something new Hluek. When playing chess in an attacking mode, make sure that your right and left flank be secured, this way the opponent will only resort to defensive and retreating position. Just like in the battle field. Your pawns attack and back up by minor pieces yet to complete the assualt, ensure first your that flanks are secured. Chess really is like a battle.
Except it's usually a lot quieter.

IYThere is an alternative which is the blitzcreig: you risk all on overwhelming the enemy before it has time to know or plan a defence.
Speed is a compannet of machine intelligence in conteporary computers, and foirst mover advantage is significvant in business.
Speed and logistics in a real battle but for chess it must be speed and fundamentals.

I think you are correct on the feel of the word armhow, but logistics means supplies and never strategy nor tactics.

The rules of chess are whatever the players agree them to be.
I took ONE lesson from a good player.
He was wonderful and moved like a world class balerina, stating why he was seing correctly so many moves ahead.
