It could be viewed as planning and the means of effecting the plan........
How do you move to strategy from tactics?

Executing the plan you made is exciting. You should make sure that the direction of your action will lead you to your destination. But results are not of your control. Often times these makes you feel busy and active but once you get the desired results, emptiness will creep in again. That is why some say happiness is elusive if you seek it.

planing is massively helpful.
armhow...living for ever is a base state...a starting position that must be assumed since technology is acclerating (or advancing faster) and reusrrection bia technology is likely.
Immortality must happen, logically if mankind survives.
So we each have eternal life.
But the aim of imortal man may be different now no-one has died..?.

Quantum Archaeology isn't fantasy, its pre-science. Nor is it hard.
I cant see any flaws in it and resurrection of the dead looks likely soon to me with advancing technology.
Hmmm...other things that were "pre-science": mythology...
Depnds how you use language, but precursors are not pre-science in the sense I meant it.
Mythology and alchemy were indeeds pre-sceince though.
I mean rather idea- sketches of ideas
examination of ideas
philosophy pre-science science tabulation.
then technology

I am sorry to disagree with you about science ability to form life Hluek. For all I know only life creates life by itself. There are things which science can never explain. It can only know how life is formed but life itself, I doubt science can find a break through with it. Life seem came from no where. It just appeared. If you ask me where it came from, my answer will be from God itself. There is no other answer. It took science a long time to establish that the world is round but if you read the book of genesis and Job, it elabarated that the earth is round and suspended without nothing on it in spce. It even explains evaporation and condensation which by the way science does not even existed during that time.

You are right armhow:
Given an infinite multiverse it seems certain there are things that science can never explain, and we truly have not built life from inorganic matter yet.
But our argument cannot rest on the skill of science (which is mainly observation and measurement, with calculations) or technology (which is mainly technique in assembling things);
we argue from fundamental belief.
What is it possible for you to believe: what is essential for me?
Without belief we cannot move one foot on our long, perhaps infinte journey.
But I am sure you recognise with your young mind, science and belief are not enemies: nor are they strangers.
They start from the smae islands of home.
They might be essential to the human experiemce - however that progresses into a future that looks infinite.
Observation is the key!
Logic helps chess, and chess helps logic. But neither are exclusive nor much use without one another.
Over all this happiness is essential, and we are bound in vulnerable human bodies: the simple thinss make us happy: love, food, shelter and above all philosophy ('friendship with wisdom').
Sceince is a great tool to explore the physical and mathematical world, but is not meant to be a method for living.
Religion is the Way for living, but is not meant to be a tool to explore the physical and mathematical.
From my own studies- done before the internet mainly- I see patterns.
These patterns repeat.
Nature is vast and quick: some great men think Nature is infinitely quick.
But for instrinsic value, a man might believe the future will be better by heaven and valuable of the infinite soul, or else think that he is immortal by coming science and technology.
I chose the latter: ie I think science and technology will extend our lives for ever and resurrect the dead, because I think all of it rests on measurement and observation, and then the great calculation power we are developing, to power-up technology.
But my argument is an argument to the future, as yours is an argument to innrer belief states.
I challenge you to hold your veiws for 100 years.
If your prove true, I will change mine!

Well, it all ends up to our belief system Hluek. Belief that has fundamental principles backing it. But proving it concretely can only be answered in the after life. We will see each other during that season and together hoping we will find the truth.

I was once an unbeliever of the bible. But when I tried to study it and became interested to know more of it's contents I realized that it is no joke. Why? I noticed that science, archeology, history and the bible do not contradict with each other. Example: if you read the book of Isaiah 40:22, it state here that the world is round. It took our early science fathers to theorized this as true. In the book of Job 26:7 shows that the earth is suspended by nothing but empty space. This is also true as explained by science. Furthermore, Job 36:27-28 explains hydrology, water evaporation and condensation which by the way was only discovered by a french scientist way back in the 17th century. The bible is trust worthy and can be depended upon.

You are right armhow. The Bible is a profound work which seems the difference between life and dead for many people.

What seems to be the right strategy for a good life ahead and be sustainable and abundant to all your future goals. It is like chess where one has to have fundamental, tactical and know how principles before making a move.

You buy Kosikov's, Elements of Chess Strategy, 2010. End of story.
Put on some clothes, @ArmyHowie.
Your avatar look sillier than a pair of flying pigs.

We exclude nothing...incorporate every point of view. There are no enemies just potenial allies.
We must prepare for the Great Battle -against the forces of Nature - .
It amazes me that we can be defeated... sometimes only a reverse in the battle and not the war...by inferior players!
They do not finally depress us: they strengthen us!
Like evolution the weak that attack the strong make the strong even stronger.
My onw belief is chess is a best training school for clarity of thought and moral character.
But I welcome faith in chess. It can give players the edge wheh they want to quit, and sometine they win because of it.
In one game it means nothing, but in many games it can mean victory!
Generally relgion and politcs are banned from philosophical (friedship with wisdom) argument and on a chess board they are irrelevant if you turn chat off.
Ordinary rules do not apply on the chess board, and to apply them means certain defeat. The rules are stated clearly and enofrced by the robot judge:

We exclude nothing...incorporate every point of view. There are no enemies just potenial allies.
This seems to be right Hluek. The danger is if we get carried away with the wrong choice of direction. No matter what, whether we believe it or not the consequences of truth will always prevail.

Truth is.
I salute your viewpoint armhow. Good and bad; right and worng; evil and love. They are great points in a dilectic.
The scientist has no such guide, dismissing them as subjective. Humanism is dismissed as bias. The ideal for sceince is not survival of mankind or any being, but objects, neutral, seen from as many persoective views as you can describe or even guess.
Then we use laws to work out truths.
This method is inhumaine and may even result in gas chambers and the extinction of Life, but it is imparchial, descriptive and verifiable by testing anyone can do.
This approach to Truth by scinece takes no accunt of the genius of the intuitive mind - with which the grandmasters defeat their opponents like eagles soaring from the sun.
I try to deveop this side to me ebing over emerged in relgion in youth at the expense of reason.
I suspect you are doing the opposite?!

You are right Hleuk2, I am trying to develop faith. It's power, influence on your well being and it's results. It is quite exciting especially when what you want to happen happens. I even meditate words from the bible and practice prayers. I mean real prayer to the Divine creator. It feels good when your requests come to pass. Right now I want to reach another level and that is fasting with prayers.

I am more than a half century old and I did regret often times why I did not try to read the bible in my youthful years. If I had maybe I am very well off now. The teachings of Christ to some may sound corny is the truth. The truth no matter wether you believe it or not will happen. Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship between you and your creator. His daily presence in your day to day life gives inner joy, peace and you learn to love others. Wow, what an experience. It is like chess, the more you play it the more you love it.

That sounds good armhow: It surpizes me you can pray for money.
There is much wisdom in God as Love. Reason and Faith can take us far

Lol, no doubt about it Hluek I like money but often times I used it to bless others. My wife often got mad about this and thought I am wasting it. But I invest it as my treasures in heaven. The bible mentioned money a lot of times. so praying for money seem not a sin but loving it is the other way around. It just come and go, come and go. But what makes it more exciting is when you have no more spare then suddenly opportunity comes for another blessing. His words are true indeed. He will not leave you nor forsake you as long as you abide in Him. Funny though often i back slide yet this God is really merciful and full of grace. Now I will fast and pray to petition my purpose of creating a coffee manufacturing company. I need resources for this endeavor and my faith tells me it will materialize. If God's willing and this will push through, I will visit Russia and see you.
I used to experiment taking psychedelic substance in college, this experience led me to believe there is God. Very funny but it is real experience. This universe is mysterious, our body is full of matters, matters that can be transformed into energy. Our body is in one with the universe as energy. Energy full of love and it is in constant action. We just can't see it when we are in a normal state. I am so aware that it is really real. No doubt I can say there is life after death.
Man continually seek for happiness. There is a vacuum in his heart that needs to be filled. Emptiness made man continually seek for something to make life meaningful. All things that make him happy are temporal but there is one thing that can make it through. That is his relationship with the Divine. This is the TRUTH.
