How does C.c handle draw offers?

My opponent offers a draw and is told I've declined before I've even noticed the offer!  (I'm staring at the board wondering if my position is totally lost!?)  I offer a draw and I'm told my opponent had declined (I'm winning but we've both blundered so often and so badly that I'm too embarrassed to go on!?) but then suddenly I'm told its a draw by agreement.  What's going on?

1st. you made a move after he offered the draw which is you saying that you declined it

2. I'm not sure

Yes I agree with the second post

So is it possible that his/her draw offer reaches me after my move and I never get the chance the accept it?  Or does the offer stay open until there has been a chance to see it and hence the draw by agreement after I'm told they've declined?

I don't know the specifics of the timing or what happens in this case, but say you have a premove and you opponent offers a draw then makes their move. You prevmove will trigger and the draw offer will get declined, since you moved.

I don't know how the system might handle a quick succession of premoves and draw offers but if both players do the offer, it probably just claims it at that point, regardless of entered premoves (but that is just a guess and hard to test )

well thanks for that, I guess I should only offer a draw when its pretty obviously a draw.
