How good are you at chess?

So far i’m studying for the beez , not chess

i haven't got a very good rating in general but from what i have seen from OTB junior tournaments i am fairly good for my age

It kinda bums me out that older people have basically no hope of becoming a GM, M, or even just good at any level of competitive chess. But at least I can tell myself it's just a fun puzzle game to help keep the mind sharp. But then you get stuck in the no man's land where you're better than friends who don't play but worse than anyone who started young. Should be thankful chess.com and lichess ELO goes so low so there's always likeminded people to play against.
