I'm not a fan of Gotham's pesentation style. It is overly hyper and feels targeted towards young kids. That said, watching a 1700 blitz player claiming to be stronger at his peak is some next level arrogance. It would not surprise me if Levy has students that are stronger than Pfren.

Old age makes you worse, but come on, think of it... 1700 to 2400 is a huge gap. I don't think Pfren will be that bad even on his deathbed...

Online ratings can be inaccurate for any number of reasons, but the IM title is for real.

As a young and promising player you should seriously reconsider the quality of your streams and videos. They might be entertaining for some, but surely enough they are not educative, partly because you are talking very fast and the watcher loses whatever has to be learnt from them, and partly because a lot of them turn around typical Hope Chess openings which will work once in a blue moon at normal time controls, and regularly more often at blitz.

I am sure that, given your chess knowledge, you can do VASTLY better than being just an entertainer. And it does not take much of an effort to achieve that.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you. Watching Gotham's videos helped me go from 812 to over 1000. Maybe it isn't very educating to people over 2000, but his channel is aimed more beginners. I also have a very short attention span, yet I can manage to watch Gotham's videos all the way through. In my opinion he shouldn't change anything, which I don't think he will because he has 1 million subscribers and is probably earning a fair bit of money from his channel, so why change?
