1400 is a brilliant rating. It means you know every rule of chess including castling, en passant and all of the possible ways to win or draw. You also know about opening strategy, forks, pins, skewers, discovered attacks, position, tactics and more. Infact, there is very little that you do not know at your rating.
From this point on, it's not about knowing something, it's about recognising it, or being able to "see" the move at the time.

I have been playing on this site for a couple of months and my rating is about 1400 (currently 1410). could anyone tell me what it does mean? am I good, bad, or avarage?
