How is this guy a CM?

Sort:
carboninhaler

This is his FIDE profile: https://ratings.fide.com/profile/7704100/chart

His rating is 1500, yet he's still a CM?

His rating has never crossed 1700, let alone 2200

The MINIMUM rating for a FIDE title is 2000, if you want to win it from a competition

How is he a fide candidate master then?

There are some tournaments where certain results give an automatic title, regardless of the rating achieved.

Yeah, i researched it and in the chess olympiad, if you get more than a 50% score you can get a CM title no matter what rating you have.
