@vengence69: Seems a bit off topic but very impressive and you should rightly be very proud and eager to tell the world....bit of advice though, start looking at the board a little more and you might get above 1532 rank  ;0)

Thanks but in all honesty, the whole experience is for fun and not for points for me. I know where my OTB abilities are and my limitations in the phases of my game and love to just play for the fun of it.

On a related note, prior to having to take time off for chemotherapy last year, I was in the mid 1600 range as well and have beaten both class A and Expert players either here or OTB so points in all likelihood are not that important. I appreciate the advice though.

I always wonder how people handle that many. Any description of how you deal with them?

I've had over 100 as recently as this summer, but got the number below 30 before a recent tournament (10 simul.) started.  My rating has gone from high 1600s to 1800 with this change to less games, as I'm far more inclined to study each move and less inclined to make silly mistakes.  There's nothing more frustrating on Chess.com than playing a solid game over weeks or months, only to blunder it away in a moment of haste.  When I had over 100 games, none of them were faster than 3 days / move, so it was easy to take the weekend off or skip a day.  I could take a whole week of only playing games that had less than 24 hours to go, and not feel overwhelmed in the least.  Half of the games require minimal thinking, as moves are often dictated or obvious.  It's the ones that require more contemplation that stand to suffer if you are in a rush.

It was over the summer so I had a lot of time. I never thought about the moves. I just did the first move that came to mind.

Arcanus_Lupus

I have 3 going on.

NONE for now.  I was loosing and decided a few days relaxing to stop the loosing streak.  :) I have found that sometimes a break is a good thing.

I have 66 going..I've calmed it down a bit, I make silly blunders though.

Check this person out.. he does the bare minimum every day:

and increasing every day!!!

I've settled on 12 as a good manageable number. Every day I have from 6-10 moves to respond to, and sometimes I come back several times during the day if my opponents are moving quickly.

In the opening I frequently use the explore option to navigate an unfamiliar opening, and then the middlegame requires real thought and analysis. Often, though, the move is limited to one or two choices, and I get through that fairly quickly.

As soon as a game ends, I immediately sign up for another, keeping 12 going steadily. It seems to work.

In part because of this thread, I got my games down to a manageable 30 ... then I was bored and signed up for a couple of tournaments, had a few more hit round 2 or 3 and then a few more old ones suddenly start ... now back to 70 or so and not liking it at all!!!  On vacation now, as I'm also busy with work!
