How many puzzles per day?

Is there a good number of checkmate or tactics puzzles to go over per day? For instance, should you limit yourself to a dozen or so to let them sink in? Or if you're feeling up to it go for 25-30?

Also, if you work on solving puzzles each day, say from the big Polgar book, is it OK to also study a text-based book at the same time?

1st off.. what level are you at?(that will help the 1st question)

2nd- yes its ok to be reading a text base book and doing tactics on the same day. the tactics may even be good for helping you retain what youve read
