"Yes, losing point in rating is a very terible feling, like losing all your money, and another bad felings is, there is nothing you can do about it"  ! happy.png

It is often taught by masters that in order to score well enough to sustain your confidence, while playing well enough over your head opponents that you can ever expect to improve, you should play in a rating range where you only expect to score about 40 percent. Since this server's feature requires rounded numbers, +200/-100 is close enough. Losing 60 percent is a good thing.

You will have to ask 7 times to get an answer

My dislike for losing is much greater than I like winning. With chess however, if you don't have a short memory in regards to dwelling on a loss, then be prepared for a lot more dwellings moving forward.

I don't mind losing if I played reasonably well.  Obviously, to lose implies that I made some mistake.  However, if it was a subtle mistake and my opponent played brilliantly to exploit it, I would not be that disappointed.  However, if I play badly (which unfortunately is a common occurrence), then I do get irritated at myself.  In fact, I've been upset with myself where I have won the game -- because I made numerous blunders that the other player failed to notice/exploit.  So it's not really losing that I hate -- so much as poor playing.

I second that. The most frustrating thing is to lose after blundering when having a winning position...
