Personally, I would bet my wife...

Avatar of rascalnikov

In all seriousness, I would pay $200.. That would be my maximum wager...

50$

Nothing. Why would I pay to be beaten in chess when I can have that whenever I want on chess.com

Avatar of APawnCanDream

I wouldn't pay much to play a game against him. I would pay as much as I could possibly afford to get lessons from him, though. :)

Personally, I'd rather play a GM that has an actual personality. However, if I did get the chance to play Carlsen, I'd probably fork over about $50.

Not much.

Give me an affable Spassky though, and there's an experience both memorable and pleasant.

a penny

Wouldn't pay, but the question is interesting in terms of market research Smile

Blindfold: $100
Regular: $50
Against 25 clones of me: Priceless

Avatar of chasm1995

I would probably pay no more than $50, but first I would try to find an excuse to play against him for free.

Avatar of Scottrf

I would like to play with a blindfolded Natalia.

Not more than 1 euro. That would be a boring game anyway.

It won't last long, so you won't be much bored.

No offence, but that's pretty dumb for a famous, beautiful, WGM to say, because your already titled.

I think she means for how much she could charge...

Avatar of Polar_Bear

I wouldn't pay in advance anything. And I wouldn't bother to play Carlsen for nothing too.

But maybe I would accept bet.

Exactly! As much as I'm fascinated with Carlsen's play, I would be in the mood of resigning from the start all the time, simply because I wouldn't stand a chance. It would be like playing against a computer, very boring. But I'd love to invite Carlsen over for a cup of tea and some biscuits! Smile
